Hitchiker of Janet Pallas

I painted the first few Hitchhikers quickly and crudely with spray cans and house paint. My intent was to get the idea across at sixty miles per hour. Also, I didn't want the objects to be too "nice" for the driver to place back on the road. The base was a simple "X" that came apart and reassembled easily. Base and cut-out fit into most vehicles. Janet wrote a note naming media artist, Dana Atchley in Crested Butte, Colorado as her hitchhiker's destination.
